Track Summary: Amazingly beautiful rock pools shaped perfectly and naturally into a Figure 8! Stunning photo opportunity! Keep in mind that this area has become EXTREMELY popular and can also be dangerous due to location on exposed rock platform. Plan your visit in advance (see below) and avoid the crowds by going on a weekday!
Duration: 4 hours (2 hours each way)
Grade: Hard – remote, steep, slippery track, sometimes dangerous rock platforms
Important notes: Check pool accessibility and safety via link below and make sure you plan your visit either in the morning or early afternoon so that you are safely back before dark! The track is STEEP and not suitable for young children, elderly or prams. Wear good walking shoes and make sure you take plenty of water, snacks, mobile phone and first aid kit! Note that there are not toilets or bins along the way, so prepare in advance and take your rubbish home!
Track Details:
- Make your way to the start of the track at Garrawarra Farm. This location is remote and walking here is definitely not recommended. The track start point is best reached either by private vehicle or shuttle bus (run by Bundeena Kayaks)
- Start the walk at Garrawarra Farm carpark, off Garie Road.
- The track winds down a steep hill, before it meets The Coast Track which you follow to Burning Palms Beach.
- Continue walking south from Burning Palms Beach to Figure Eight Pools.
- Return the same way.
